CouchKarma is an independent recommendation project for finding a movie, series, book, or podcast that suits your evening. Start with your mood and available time. You can try it without an account.

One pick, with a reason

When AI is available, it uses your mood and taste examples to choose from supplied catalogue entries. Each result explains why it might fit. You can ask for another pick or skip something you have already tried.

Your taste makes a difference

Rate titles you know, or import public ratings from Letterboxd or Goodreads. Sign in and your taste saves automatically across devices. Groups combine members’ saved tastes without showing their individual ratings to each other.

What to expect in beta

Books currently use a collection of four classics: Pride and Prejudice, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes, Little Women, and A Short History of the World. Contemporary books are not covered yet. Podcasts combine episodes from the Apple Podcasts directory with our starter collection; directory results may not include a show’s full history. When AI is unavailable, supported requests can use a labelled starter-collection pick. Streaming availability is only shown when it has been checked for Canada; subscriptions, plans, and season coverage can change.
